Fix AI-generated 3D model rigs

Automatic rig, mesh and animation repair for models from Meshy AI, Tripo, Rodin and other AI 3D generators — free, entirely in your browser.

Open Rig Bake — free, in your browser

No sign-up. No upload — models stay on your machine. Works in any WebGL 2 browser.

AI 3D generators are great at producing models, but the files they export often arrive with practical problems: wrong scale, inverted normals, broken bind poses, thousands of duplicate vertices and stray floating geometry. Rig Bake detects these issues the moment you import a file and offers one-click, opt-in fixes for each of them.

Everything runs client-side in WebGL 2. Your model is never uploaded to a server — the file stays on your machine.

What the Model Doctor detects and repairs

  • Scale and unit problems — models exported in centimeters or at microscopic size are normalized to a sensible working scale.
  • Inverted normals — inside-out meshes are detected and the winding order and normals are flipped.
  • Broken bind poses — corrupt inverse-bind matrices are rebuilt by rebinding the skeleton to the current pose, fixing the classic "exploded mesh" look.
  • Duplicate vertices — position, UV and normal aware welding removes redundant vertices without breaking texture seams.
  • Degenerate triangles and tiny islands — zero-area triangles and small disconnected fragments are cleaned up.
  • Open holes — boundary loops can optionally be closed.
  • Skin weight cleanup — messy vertex weights from auto-rigging are tidied so deformation looks right.

How it works

Drag a .glb, .gltf (up to 100 MB) or .fbx (up to 200 MB) file into Rig Bake. An analysis report runs in a background worker and shows exactly what it found — mesh count, triangle count, duplicate vertices, degenerate triangles, disconnected pieces and open edges — before anything is changed. You choose which fixes to apply per file.

After repair you can keep working in the same tool: edit the skeleton, crop or retarget animations, add effects, then export back to .glb or bake spritesheets for your game engine.

Works with every major AI 3D generator

Rig Bake is tested against the export quirks of Meshy AI, Tripo, Rodin, Luma AI, Sloyd and CSM, and works with any tool that exports standard glTF or FBX files, including Mixamo rigs and hand-made models from Blender.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my Meshy AI / Tripo model look exploded or stretched?

That is almost always a broken bind pose: the inverse-bind matrices in the file do not match the skeleton. Rig Bake detects this on import and rebuilds the bind so the mesh follows the bones correctly.

Will fixing the mesh break my textures or UVs?

No. Vertex welding is UV- and normal-aware, so texture seams are preserved, and Rig Bake keeps the original encoded texture bytes so re-exports do not lose image quality.

Is my model uploaded anywhere?

No. All analysis and repair runs locally in your browser using WebGL 2. Files never leave your machine.

Does it cost anything?

No — import, analysis, repair and .glb re-export are free with no account required.
